I’m Zoe.

In 2012, I graduated from Arapahoe High School in Centennial, Colorado. Two years later, I completed my education at the Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy (2014). After getting my massage license, I continued my education to pursue my fascination with the connection between the mind and body. I received an AA degree in Psychology from the Community College of Denver. While there, I focused on psychological research done with yoga and meditation.

By the end of my studies, I felt a deep calling to go to Asia and learn these modalities firsthand. I traveled to Chiang Mai, Thailand, and in 2017, I completed a 390-hour Thai Massage Teacher Training Program. I spent the rest of that year traveling alone (Vietnam, Bali, Spain, France), which was probably one of my greatest life teaching experiences — but that didn’t come with a piece of paper.

After returning to the US, I pursued more yogic training, including durational Kundalini practices (before the scandal), a 100-hour Yin yoga training with Biff Mithoefer, Reiki 1&2 attunements, Psych-K L1 practitioner training, many astrology classes, and magical initiations.

In 2020, as everything changed, so did my life. I left my career and began a blog in response to the commodification of wellness practices and experiences I was witnessing online. I loved my first career and spent 7 years working as a massage therapist and yoga teacher. Through that work, I learned so much from my clients and coworkers about what it means to be human in this world.

It eventually became clear to me that our lives depend on the stories we tell ourselves, and I started writing fictional stories that imagined a better world.

In August of 2022, I moved to New York City to return to school and follow my dream of becoming a writer. In May 2024, I graduated from NYU Gallatin School of Individualized Study. My major was titled Metanarrative and the Future of Storytelling, with a focus on how fictional narratives can be used to facilitate social change and evolution.

I make things. You can find them here.
